Homecoming

My homecoming dance was this week and I wanted to show you all my dress! Mine isn't as fancy as Marisa's and my friends and I decided we were going to go last minute so I picked this dress that I love from www.tobi.com, ordered it and, thankfully, it came just in time! 

It is a peachy color and the sleeves are open. I paired it with Steve Madden nude pumps and silver jewelry!

Trend I am Currently Loving: Leather Legs

Something I have been seeing around lately is leather bottoms. My first reaction to this trend was, "Okay leather bottoms...how does that look flattering on anyone?" I decided to give the trend a chance, I mean you never know right? Turns out, I was being skeptical for no reason at all. I fell in love with this leather pants I tried on and HAD to buy them. Fall Shoe Must-Haves

One of my favorite things to shop for in the Fall is shoes. I LOVE buying new boots and loafers and wedges, etc. I love the neutral colors of many Fall shoes because they go with everything! I went through a few websites and picked out 6 pairs of shoes that I adore. I picked out 3 pairs of boots, a pair of wedges and two pairs of flat shoes. I really hope to purchase all of these, but the chances of that happening are slim to none, which is super upsetting. I guess I'll just sit and stare at them and pretend that I own them all!

Outfit of the Day!

I wore this outfit to school today. It includes some of my favorite pieces, the floral printed jeans and my favorite fall flats! Plus, paired with the long sleeved black sheer top kept it so the whole outfit wasn't overdone-- something that can happen when you wear printed pants. Here's a closer look at the shoes since they are kind of hard to see in the picture:

They are the Conncord flat from Steve Madden and I am totally obsessed. They are so cute, comfortable and can be perfect for casual wear and a night out-- I totally recommend them to everybody.

Favorite Fall Accessories Wish List

Lately as I have been walking through stores or browsing online, so many cute accessories have been catching my eye! I am a true believer that having the right accessories can make your outfit go from ordinary to extraordinary-- they add the perfect touch to any outfit. Free People October Catalog Favorites

I can definitely say, Free People is one of my favorite stores. I can always find something I love there no matter what season I shop in! Their clothes fit me perfectly and because of it having the perfect balance between boho and girly, Marisa and I are both always in love with their products! Homecoming

 This past weekend, my school had its Homecoming Dance. It was my first Homecoming ever and it was such a blast! I had a ton of fun (even though I went without a date)! I just thought I'd share what I wore real quick with you guys! 

 This dress is totally different from something I would normally pick out, but I'm really glad I went with it! I'm not usually a huge fan of orange or bright colors, but this dress just caught my eye and I fell in love with it! I loved the high neck and the structured shape of this dress. I just thought it was so unique. The belt also added such a nice touch! Also, you can't tell from this picture, the back was completely open, which I loved! 

 You can't see my feet in the picture because my dearest mother cut them off, but I wore these babies on my feet. I am OBSESSED with them. I love the fact that they are simple, yet just the right amount of dramatic. They stand at about 5 inches and I had them on all through pictures, dinner and the dance! OUCH! Two days later, my feet still hurt, but it was so worth it. 

As for accessories, I kept it simple. I just wore an orange and gold bracelet, some gold stackable rings, and a gold flower in my hair. For a bag, I used a cream- colored, studded bag with a long, chain strap that matched the dress and the shoes. 

I chose to wear my hair like Blake Lively did for the Green Lantern premiere. I love this hairstyle so much! I think its so pretty and intricate, yet messy and effortless. I knew I wanted to wear my hair up somehow because of the high neck. I chose this because it was the perfect mixture of an up-do and a down-do. I was contemplating between this hairstyle and the Blake Lively/ Serena Van der Woodsen ponytail (clearly, I love her hair), but I decided to go with this one because it was so different, like the dress. I'm glad I chose this one because I really liked the way it looked with the dress.

Fall Fashion Week 2012 Recap

Since it is October 1st, the first full month of fall, I thought it would be fitting to do a recap of the trends we saw at this years Fall Fashion Week. We are in for an amazing fall season! Here are some of my favorite runway trends plus my favorite ways to take them from runway to street.

Velvet

Velvet was seen all over the runway this seasons in all different ways imaginable-- dresses, pants, jackets, tops, etc.
